Interior view of the light shaft, or pit, for the 30-foot spectrograph in 60-foot tower telescope, Mount Wilson Observatory. The bottom of the shaft is visible in the center, with a ladder visible on the right-hand side. On the left-hand side is the spectrograph support tower.
