This is part two of an interview with Peter Drucker about innovation and entrepreneurship, conducted by Fred Harmon. Drucker discusses four of seven sources of innovation opportunity: changes in industry structure that catch everyone unaware, changes in demographics, changes in perception, and new knowledge. According to Drucker, new knowledge has the longest lead time of the innovation sources, often taking 30 years for theoretical developments and different types of knowledge to converge and go into practice.
