Photo caption reads: "Nine years ago tomorrow, this group of 200 people wended its way into the Hollywood hills, where the great Hollywood bowl now stands, and held devout Easter services about a white wooden cross on the hillside. In the Easter dawning of tomorrow, thousands will gather in the Hollywood bowl for Easter sunrise services and, in the words Charles Wesley wrote long ago, reply to the song of the heavens celebrating the resurrection of the Saviour"--Article dated April 19, 1930.; "First services: This group of 200 people wended its way into the Hollywood hills where the great Hollywood Bowl now stands and held first sunrise service at this scene in 1921. The Hollywood Bowl observance tomorrow morning will be one of the biggest in the Southland"--Article dated April 13, 1963.
