Photograph article dated July 3, 1963 partially reads, "Penny, a Southern California resident and businessman, shares a large comfortable home with his wife, six children, a couple of ponys [sic], a big golden retriever and a rare rifle collection valued at more than $50,000. The unusual part of the gun collection is that all 93 guns are Springfield rifles dating from 1859 to 1963 and all are cartridge arms."
