Photograph was edited for publication purposes
Designed by Peter K. Schabarum, the Art Deco Valley Municipal Building, located at 14410 Sylvan Street, was completed in 1932 and is a Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument.
Photograph caption dated August 6, 1963 reads "They pause before Van Nuys City Hall during study." The article partially reads "A team of General Services Administration investigators is in Van Nuys today making a three-day study of possible sites for the proposed $1 million federal building."
