Description
Embroidery samlpler, framed. Of a basket of flowers executed in pink, green and beige thread (cotton and/or silk ?) on ivory-colored silk. Embroidered at the bottom "Presented to my Beloved Daughter Cordelia Elkus by her affectionate Mother Amelia De Young January 18th 1859 Sacramento, Ca ". The embroidery is approximately 10 1/2" x 17". The frame is gold-toned painted wood (not original to the embroidery).
