“The Railway and Salt Heaps, Sambhar.” View of railway tracks running alongside large salt heaps. Several people are also seated next to railway tracks. The salt was extracted from the nearby Sambhar Salt Lake. The railway was constructed to facilitate the transport of salt from the Salt Lake. ❧ United Free Church of Scotland photographs from the Rajputana mission.
