Photograph caption dated October 10, 1957 reads, "Martin Pollard, president of board of directors of Valley Presbyterian Hospital, welcomes Mrs. Marvin T. Smith Jr., of Sherman Oaks as new board member and shows her artist's sketch of facility as it will look on completion. First $1,500,000 unit of institution is now 90 per cent complete. It is located at 15107 Vanowen St., Van Nuys."
