Description
A circa 1880 image of John Richard Watson, a member of Union Lodge NO 58. The Union Lodge was charted in 1855, it was one of the first Freemasonry Lodges in Sacramento. Watson was a Senior Warden in 1867 and 1868, he was made a representative of the Masonic Hall Association in 1872. Watson became vice president of the association in 1877 as well as being named Marshall of the Lodge No 58 in 1883, he was also the president of the Building and Loan Association.
