On back: "Lieutenant Commander Laura M. Cobb, NC, USN, chief nurse at the Treasure Island Navy hospital, leaves the hospital's administration building for one of her daily inspection trips through the wards. A Navy nurse for the past twenty years, Miss Cobb was captured when Manila fell in the early part of 1942, and spent most of the long months of imprisonment at Los Banos, in the Philippines. For her outstanding work among the wounded and sick internees, she will be awarded the Avon award for Achievement at a luncheon meeting of the Soroptimist Club on Monday, February 25th.
