Description
For the majority of the interview, Connie and the Strobers talk about a number of the different people they interviewed for the book that helped define the Reagan administration. For example, they discuss the relationship between Reagan and Gorbechev, the conflict between George Shultz (Secretary of State) and Caspar Weinberger Jr. (Secretary of Defense) over policy responses to communism, and the Iran-Contra Affair. Deborah and Gerald stated, as editors, that they wanted to provide some political and historical context that connected the people they interviewed to the events of the Reagan era, but otherwise they wanted to allow the people to speak for themselves.
