Description
Pomona College, Claremont, which celebrates is Founders' Day on October 14, 1940, recalls the humble beginning of the institution when it was founded 53 years ago. The photo shows the original Sumner Hall, the first building of the college. The college at that time was situated in the midst of a real estate subdivision.
