“The salt pans in the Salt Lake, Sambhar. This Salt Lake is about 60 miles in circumference. The harvest of salt each year is about 4,000,000 mans or 328,000,000 lbs. The people are waiting to extract the salt from the pans.” View of people gathering salt from shallow salt water fields. Many people are watching from outside the fields.
