A telegram written by a man in Washington D.C. to his mother Myra Crow Marshall and sister Evelyn who were visiting Mrs. Marshall's sister in Sacramento for the summer. Colonel RB Marshall, Myra's husband, was the chief geographer of the United States from 1910-1915 and again from 1917-1919 before resigning to promote his plan for irrigating California's Central Valley.
