John Wright, on the right, at the 50th anniversary of the Pasadena chapter of the N.A.A.C.P. Mr. Wright arrived in Pasadena from Kansas in 1911. He became a mail carrier in 1912 and retired in 1955 after 43 years of service. Mr. Wright organized the Pasadena Chapter of the N.A.A.C.P. in 1919. "50th Anniversary Pasadena BR. N.A.A.C.P. , Tournament House."
