Description
Women and men line up outside a bus at the Greyhound Bus Lines depot at 175 East Green Street, on May 10, 1955. To the right of the group is a parking lot filled with 1950s era automobiles, and a billboard advertising Lucky Lager. In the background one can see the top of Hotel Green through the fog. Documentation provided by the photographer indicates that the photo was ordered by Mr. Thomas of the Pasadena Department of Recreation. A note instructed the photographer to photograph women embarking on a trip, and to meet a Miss Hartzmann at the depot (this name is not listed in the 1955 Pasadena City Directory, and is probably misspelled). The original negative was badly damaged and is no longer available.
