Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph caption dated July 5, 1965 reads "Mrs. Harvey E. Newton, wife of Rev. Newton, places hymnals on the pews in restored 40-year-old church which now is the home of the First Church of Religious Science of Van Nuys. The Newtons and members of the church painted and antiqued the pews. Another member laid the carpeting."
