Photographic portrait of John A Baxter's grandmother on the porch of the family home, Monrovia, 1905. At center, an old woman sits on the porch of a National-style home, just outside the doorway. In front, the home's small yard is enclosed by chickenwire fencing, a palm tree at either side of the dirt walkway leading in. John A. Baxter owned Fashion Stable, a livery stable. The woman was 90 years old at the time the photograph was taken.
