Description
This February 1906 photograph, taken from the California State Capitol building dome and looking east, captures the back view of the Agricultural Pavilion, located at 15th and N streets. The building was built for $115,000 in 1884, and was easily the largest exhibition structure in the state at that time. This photo was taken just two years prior to the building being torn down when the fair relocated to Stockton Boulevard. The State Printing Office sits to the left while, in the foreground, is the State Insectory.
