Description
Three members of the guerrilla, two men and a woman, dressed in brown and green uniforms are sitting on a bench in San Agustín. Two of them, a man and a woman, are eating. On the wall behind them there is graffiti whose whole message reads "Stop oppressing unions." On the left side of the image there are two M16 assault rifles of U.S. origin resting against the wall and bench. Guerrillas occupied San Agustín after retreating from Berlín for a couple of weeks during the month of February in 1983. During this time, its population dropped from 6,000 to 4,000 as civilians abandoned their homes due to fear of the occupation.
