Description
Japan has constructed over 800 miles of broad gauge railroad in Korea. The main line runs the entire length of the peninsula. Money for construction was borrowed in England and used to purchase American equipment and materials -- ties, rails, rolling stock, and engines. Steel bridges span rivers and tunnels were bored through mountains. When Koreans saw that the construction invasion of the earth did not bring forth feared destruction from evil spirits of the earth, this did much to break down beliefs in such spirits.
