Description
Photograph of an exterior view of a Chinese store typical of the businesses during the mining days of 1849-1852, [s.d.]. A small, bunker-like building made of brick and rough-cut stone stands at center, its roof made of disorganized wooden shingles from out of which a metal chimney extends. Two windows flank the doorway of the building. Wooden shutters cover the windows and the doorway. Vines tangle themselves along the roof in various places. A grassy hill is visible in the background.
