Photograph article dated December 26, 1960 partially reads, "With infinite care the technician examines the miniature electronic panel through a 30-power microscope. Each of the 350 components and 1,000 soldered connections are scrutinized individually for the slightest sign of a flaw. The unit, no larger than a pocket magazine, must be as near to perfection as humans can achieve - it has a ticket to the moon. This is one of nine component panels designed and developed by International Telephone and Telegraph Corporation's Industrial Products Division, 15191 Bledsoe St., Sylmar, to serve as sub-miniature power control and distribution system for the Ranger space vehicle program."
