Shades of L.A. is an archive of photographs representing the contemporary and historic diversity of families in Los Angeles. Images were chosen from family albums and include daily life, social organizations, work, personal and holiday celebrations, and migration and immigration activities. Description
Installation of the Board of Court "Gloria" of the Independent Order of Foresters, taken November 24, 1939. Maria Ricci is the only woman and is sitting 2nd on right side of podium. Board of Court "Gloria" was named for Gloria Ricci due to her near death illness of pneumonia.
