Description
In June 1983, two Contra soldiers sit on a fallen trunk surrounded by debris at El Porvenir Farm, located two kilometers from the Honduras-Nicaragua border. The Contra on the left is holding a Soviet-made Kalashnikov assault rifle. In the background there are several dilapidated structures and the mountains of the Nicaraguan countryside. They are members of the Nicaraguan Democratic Force (FDN in Spanish), known informally as "Contras." En junio de 1983, dos soldados contra yacen sentados sobre un tronco caído rodeados de escombros en la granja El Porvenir, localizada a dos kilómetros de la frontera entre Honduras y Nicaragua.
