Caption dated November 21, 1962 reads, "Amanda Blake, honorary mayor of Reseda and 'Kitty' on the Gunsmoke television show, is joined by West Valley Councilman Thomas D. Shepard, left, and Fred Blonsky, chairman of the Reseda Chamber of Commerce lighting committee, as she flips switch Tuesday night to turn on the mile-long string of new street lights on Sherman Way between Hesperia and Wilbur Ave."
