Photograph shows The river invades--Work on the Shasta Dam powerhouse was recently halted temporarily when the Sacramento River, swollen by winter rains, overflowed the diversion channel through which it passed the dam site, and flooded the powerhouse construction area. However, work was resumed when the water subsided and it is expected that the substructure of the building will soon be above flood level. ght
