Description
San Fernando Valley State College is now California State University, Northridge.
Photograph caption dated February 5, 1962 reads "Joe McKenna and Dick Clement help carry Jim Malkin, Valley State's leading scorer, off the court following his last appearance for the Matadors as he ran out of eligibility. It was a great finale for the star, scoring 27 points and capturing 20 rebounds to lead the Mats to their first win in 16 starts. They defeated Los Angeles State, 111-86."
