Description
View looking north at the city of Los Angeles, California, identified as being at Main Street and Ninth Street, with a house, dirt road, and picket fence in the foreground. St. Vincent's College can be seen at left and the tower of the old Los Angeles County Courthouse is visible in the background at center.

Title transcribed from item. Date approximated by cataloger based on general dates provided for Godfrey's stereographs in Frank Q. Newton, Jr., "William M. Godfrey, Early California.Photographer, 1825-1900" The Branding Iron, Summer 1992, p. 7). Another similar view in the Huntington Library has the note "E.H. Workman's old home, 11th & Main" (Hazard-Dyson Collection, photPF 23602).
