Description
Audio correspondence to Sam Farr from his parents, Fred and Janet Farr. At the time of correspondence, Sam Farr was serving in the Peace Corps in Medellin, Columbia and his father, Fred Farr, was serving as a California State Senator. Part 1 - Meeting of the Foundation for Environmental Design, mentions Ansel Adams - taking students to Big Creek - hosting two Danish travelers - Carmen Rotary Club donation to Peace Corp - Sam’s sister, Nancy, says hello - Prop 16 - LBJ/Goldwater campaign - Farr/Magyar campaign - State Senate reapportionment - absentee ballots - updates on Sam’s friends. Part 2 - Sam’s sister, Francesca, says hello - at 1:20 audio switches to singing, ceremony in Spanish, applauding. This tape is part of Sam Farr's papers. It is unmarked and has no label. Sam Farr served as a US Congressman for the California 17th and 20th Districts from 1993-2017.
