"The leading citizen of San Bernardino in the 1860s, Oliver M. Wozencraft, was California's first important prophet of water." (Source: Starr, Kevin. "Material Dreams: Southern California Through the 1920s" Oxford University Press, 1991.) Title devised by cataloger; date range approximated by cataloger based on the year that film negatives came into use and the latest known dates indicated for other Hazard images in the Huntington's collection.
