Roscoe Turner, left, pioneer aviator and only three-time winner of Thompson trophy, and Tony LeVier, director of flight operations for Lockheed, compare headgear after Turner took first jet ride in T2V1 Sea Star. Two men once competed in national air races. After landing, Turner remarked, 'It's the greatest.'"
