Description
Photograph of an exterior view of the Catholic Cathedral in Sacramento, ca.1905. The cathedral is an enormous stone building with a tall, thin spire at left and a massive dome at right. A large clock with roman numerals is on the spire. There are two shorter towers with domed roofs flanking the spire. All of the domes and several other roof sections are topped by crosses. Large trees hide the lower section of the cathedral from blew, and a dirt intersection is in the foreground. A low wooden building is at right, and two lines of utility poles run across the image in the foreground.
