Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph caption dated January 3, 1963 reads, "James Napoleon Jones, right, accused of being the shorter half of a 'Mutt and Jeff' robbery team, and suspected accomplices James Johnson, 29, left, and Robert Wilkerson, 22, must appear Jan. 10 in Van Nuys Municipal Court for pre-trial hearing. They are suspects in a series of Valley liquor store robberies, and were arraigned Wednesday in Van Nuys. Jones, 2921 Stockbridge Ave., Los Angeles, and Wilkerson, 7335 Penfiled Ave., Canoga Park, were held on $10,000 bail, while Johnson, 5381 Huntington Dr., Los Angeles, was held on $2,500 bail. Jones, 27, is only 4 feet 11 inches tall."
