Description
Photograph was edited for publication purposes
Photograph article dated June 12, 1950 partially reads, "Jack Dawson, 56...was fined $50 today for describing a Great Dane as a St. Bernard. The dog in question was 'Bruce,' a 5-year-old Great Dane valued at $1,000. Dawson said the dog came to his ranch at 10245 Stonehurst St., Sun Valley, 'in a sick condition.' He reported his find, but listed the animal as a different breed. The Department of Animal Regulation recovered the dog for its owner...and Dawson was haled into court...Dawson plead guilty to a charge of failing to report 'found' property."
