First photograph caption dated April 6, 1960 reads "Lefty Van Sherman is one of Coach Bob Zuber's mound stars at Birmingham High School. Sherman and his Brave mates hosted Granada Hills today as East and West Valley League diamond action continued." Second photograph caption date stamped April 22, 1960 reads "Defeated Cleveland." Birmingham High School is in Van Nuys.
