This photograph is contained in one of two volumes by Dobbin titled "Album of San Francisco."
Text written under photo: "Diamond Jubill [sic] Celebration Night parade Chinese Theatre Float September 12th 1925." View during the California Diamond Jubilee celebration of a truck made up as a float for the Great China Theater at 630 Jackson Street. An inscription on its side describes the creation of the Earth as based on Chinese legends. Chinese women wearing elaborate finery adorn the float along with a globe, dragon motifs, and Chinese and American flags.
