Thursday, July 9th 1942 at 8 p.m. was the opening of the Alhambra Bowl, the announcement advertised the place as Sacramento’s Finest Bowling Palace. Located on 1229 Alhambra Boulevard the venue under partners John Buscan and F.J. Nisetich provided a plethora of accommodations, some included: 16 Brunswick Centennial Lanes, a cocktail lounge, trained personnel and other services. The Alhambra Bowl was the second bowling alley opened in Sacramento and hosts the city’s annual tournament of champions.
