Description
This circa 1975 postcard shows a rendering of California, with Sacramento identified at the capital of the state. Also shown are the Capital City's two most defining symbols, the camellia plant and the dome of the California State Capitol building. By the early 1880s, the camellia had gone from prized novelty to common sight throughout Sacramento.
