A panoramic view of a wide tract of land empty except for four billboards, the nearest of which reads "Lots for sale here ; All improvements ; Easy Terms ; Ratterree Inv. Co. ; 723 W. 8th St. ; Phone Bowy 5770". There is no indication of where this tract is. The number "57" stands out against a hill behind the billboard. There is writing in white in the lower left corner which reads "Pettit's Studio ; 1416 W. Pico, LA ; Ri. 8534 ; No. 263 6-20-1923".
The "57" on the hillside was advertising for Heinz 57. The number was painted on what is now Baldwin Hills. The land for sale is south of Washington Boulevard.
