Description
The Octagon was built in 1802, possibly designed by Devendra Mulachari, the royal architect, who later took his own life, due to some "palace intrigue." The Temple is considered one of the most sacred places of worship in the Buddhist world. The main arched entrance and other components of the palace complex are behind it.
