Description
Photograph of an exterior view of the Riveroll family home at 1406 Alvarado Terrace, Los Angeles, ca.1904. The facade of the house is symmetric with two dormers (one on each side), four windows (two on each side, one on first floor, the other on the second floor), and two doors opening on the balcony. The portico is supported by six columns, three on each side. Two larger columns serve as support for a large front gable (centered). Two balusters (one on each side of the house) are linked by chains from the balustrade to the columns of the portico forming a frame-like entryway. The lower left window of the house a sign that reads: "For Sale". The lawn, populated with wild flowers(?), weed, and shrubberies, appears neglected. At left, there's a small tree.
