Description
Photograph of a group of Indian men standing side by side, ca.1900. Indian men clad in hay (?) headdresses stand in a row, some in pants and shirts, others in skirts, and still others topless. A man right of center holds up what appears to be a model of a large animal, or perhaps the carcass of such. The foreground is bare save for the dusty ground, and a few horses can be seen in the foliage-heavy background.
