Description
Photograph of an American Expeditionary Force camp made up of temporary buildings in France, ca.1915. There is a wide dirt street at center lined with two rows of long temporary buildings. At the end of the street at center is a large wooden building stretching across the entire image. There are many soldiers gathered on both sides of the dirt street, and most are standing in small bunches and talking. All of the buildings on the right side have ladders hung up over their doorways on the end.
