Description
A young female Contra soldier cooks rice on a campfire while two male contra soldiers wait standing in front of her, both armed. Next to the two male soldiers are two other male soldiers, one kneeled and one bent over. In the background there are more soldiers standing idly. They are at El Porvenir Farm, located two kilometers from the Honduras-Nicaragua border, in June 1983. They are all members of the Nicaraguan Democratic Force (FDN in Spanish), whose members are known informally as "Contras."
