Photograph was edited for publication purposes The photograph was taken during the 7th annual North Hollywood Pioneer Picnic which was held on November 8, 1953 at the City Recreation Hall at Chandler and Tujunga Avenues, now the North Hollywood Park. Photograph caption dated November 9, 1953 reads, "Many Valleyites may remember this pair as their pastor and Sunday-school teacher. Frances Muir Pomeroy, left, was teacher at Community Methodist Church, of which the Rev. George Hunt, right, was pastor from 1916-1922. He is ringing the bell that called people to church. Phonograph is an early Thomas Edison model, still in good condition."
