Description
Photograph of an orange display for Los Angeles County at a fair, ca.1930. A large platform in the center is decorated with oranges covering the sides while a scene is displayed on top. Two manikins dressed up as men stand on the right while a woman stands on the left. A rock like formation sits in the center amongst plants while a fake donkey-like creature can be seen behind the men. A plaque that reads "33rd Annual orange Show Class A Award" rests on the side of the float in the center. Sign on the float reads "Gold Discovered in Los Angeles County. March 9, 1842".In the background, advertisements circle what appears to be the interior of a dome shaped structure. Two visible advertisements read "Exchange" and "Sunkist" in glittery letters. The interior walls of the building are made of a metallic coating on the left while the right side is draped with a silky material in colorful rows.
