Description: Officers pose with guns and squad cars ready for any situation. This group was specially trained in the handling of firearms and using self-defense. As the Shotgun Squad, they were trained to use sawed off shotguns, see photo. They were much like the Crime Suppresion Units (CSU) begun in 1971, and the Special Emergency Reaction Teams (SERT) begun in 1975.
