Photograph of a decapitated statue inside a badly damaged building during World War I, ca.1916. The statue can be seen at center. It has no head and is standing among piles of rubble. Tall wooden beams can be seen in the background, and what remains of the walls of the building can be seen at right. A tree can be seen in he background at left.
