Photograph caption dated June 11, 1956 reads "Dr. Bob Phillips and Hazel Kirkpatrick wave from mounts at San Fernando Fiesta parade crowd after winning first prize in Spanish pair division. Scores of horsemen took part in parade which was viewed by 40,000 spectators. Parade was last major event of week-long Fiesta."
